Partner, Multifamily Development << Back to SVP Team Role Rick is responsible for the development and acquisition of multifamily projects. Career Highlights Rick joined Simmons Vedder Partners in 2000. Prior to joining Simmons Vedder Partners, Rick was Vice President of Development and Acquisitions at Gables Residential Trust. He joined Trammell Crow Residential in 1989 and was a partner in the Houston division at the time it was converted to the new entity, Gables Residential (NYSE: GBP). During his ten-year tenure, Rick developed projects in Houston, Austin and San Antonio. He also acquired and rehabilitated existing projects. His responsibilities included the full spectrum of development including site acquisition, entitlements, design, construction and lease-up. His projects have won both local and national awards including Best Development by a REIT twice. From 1985-1989 Rick worked with The Finger Companies, a Houston based multifamily developer where he developed projects outside of Texas.
