Jim Jackson
Project Manager << Back to SVP Team Role Responsible for coordinating and managing various phases of design, predevelopment and construction for the firm's new or existing development projects. Career Highlights In 1996, Jim founded PCS\Group Inc., a Texas firm that offers project management and construction management services. He has managed several projects and accounts including Simmons Vedder Partners, AT&T, Metro National, Saltgrass Steakhouse, Griffin/Juban Interests and others. In addition to project management services, Jim has evaluated over 20 office buildings for acquisition totaling over 2 million sf and over 39 office warehouses for acquisition totaling over 5.6 million sf and has been retained on numerous commercial and residential projects for quality control and administration. From 1987 to 1996, Jim served as Senior Project Manager in charge of the Construction Management Division at Allen Center in downtown Houston for Century Development and Transwestern Management Company. In that role he was responsible for the management of all design and construction activities for the 3.5 million sf complex. During that time, the three building multi-use, high-rise complex undertook a major renovation and abatement program to reposition the property to a Class "A" property. Renovations included approximately 64 million dollars of construction and over 100 million dollars of tenant improvements. Jim's role included the management of a department of six, and the overall management of all design, construction and budgeting feasibility. From 1982 to 1987, Jim served as Director of Design and Construction for Griffin/Juban Interests in the development of six office buildings over $42 million in the Houston area, including One Corporate Plaza and Ford Aerospace Corporate Offices, Landmark Graphics, Stone & Webster Engineering, Bellchase and Commerce Park I Office Buildings. His responsibilities included value engineering, securing the required regulatory approvals and the comprehensive management of all design and construction development efforts and the tenant improvements associated with each respective project. From 1970 to 1982, Jim was a practicing Architect first with Golemon & Rolfe Architects and then as a Partner with House Reh Associates, designing such projects as office buildings, multi-family condominiums, medical office buildings and hospitals.
